Our Lady of Guadalupe

Feast Day: December 12

Patron: Americas & Patroness of Life

In March 2014, my husband and I (pre-marriage) went on a mission trip to Mexico City and met Our Lady of Guadalupe for the first time. This was a very powerful trip full of many graces. We brought back a huge replica image and it was framed as a gift for our wedding. Now she is hanging on the wall in our bedroom and has been watching over us ever since. She is the patroness of life and I can't help but now realize that she was the one who invited us to meet her that spring break. We didn't know then how much we would come to love her and lean on her during our trials of infertility. This past December on her feast day, my husband and I consecrated our fertility to her and entrusted our family to her. I encourage you to do the same with a Marian Consecration. Many couples pray to her during times of infertility.

Saint Anne

Feast Day: July 26

Patron: Childless Women, Mothers, Women in Labor

My middle name is Ann and I truly believe St. Anne has been praying for me since birth. We prayed to her before conceiving our daughter and have also prayed to her a lot during this period of secondary infertility. I remember specifically one time going to visit a friend and Saint Anne's card was on my pillow on the bed I'd be staying in. Recently, my husband and I listened to the book "The Life of Mary as Seen by the Mystics" by Raphael Brown (highly recommend if you are wanting to grow closer to Mary). We learned more about her and Joachim's story. They waited for many years to conceive Mary and look who Mary turned out to be, literally the mother of God. This brought much consolation to both my husband and I. Saint Anne knows the emotional pain and suffering of the heavy cross of infertility probably better than most saints. Lean on her during this time and ask for her intercession and I promise she will be interceding.

Saint Rita of Cascia

Feast Day: May 22

Patron: Impossible Causes; Infertility

I recently became reacquainted with Saint Rita of Cascia through a dear friend of mine. She was telling me all about a trip to Spain she had taken and how Saint Rita was interceding and he helped her and her husband dodge quite a few bullets. She then sent me a Saint Rita medal a few weeks later in the mail and told me to keep praying to her and that she knew she would take my requests, especially our infertility, to God. I went back and re-read about her and started wearing the medal. I have felt her so close during this time and I know she wants to be a big intercessor for this business and for you! She is the patron of impossible causes, but many will pray to her for infertility as well.
